WINERY

The 9-hectare vineyard lies within the Colli del Trasimeno Denomination of Origin, a terroir renowned for wine production since Etruscan times, thanks to the lake’s favorable microclimate.

The estate has been managed since 1961 by Margret Etten Cantarelli and is now run by her daughter Sabina, together with Pier, continuing a family tradition that has always been driven by passion.

Our small but welcoming winery is always open to those who wish to learn about and taste our wines. By reservation, we organize guided tastings with Sofia, Lisa, Tiziana, or Sabina for small groups. The experience includes a visit to the vineyard, a tour of the production area, and a tasting of all our wines and olive oil.

VINEYARD

We pay great attention to the environment in which we operate, through organic farming and environmentally friendly agricultural practices; we only use grapes from our own production. The vineyards are arranged in a “single body”, that is adjacent to each other, and are located all around the house and the cellars.

The breeding system is traditional espalier, “guyot” or “spur cordon” pruned, depending on the variety. Yields per hectare are about 50/60 quintals.

The thinning of the bunches is carried out with the aim of reducing the yield per strain and rebalancing the vegetative and productive development. The grassing of the inter-rows as soil management has always been carried out with the aim of reducing erosion and to encourage biodiversity.

The subrow is worked, following the principles of organic farming. Our grapes are harvested by hand and we also tie and prune by hand.
